What was the brief?

Plan International UK commissioned us to create a new collection of 6 x 15 second pre-roll animation ads with the purpose of reaching new potential child sponsors. 

The purpose of the series was to introduce sponsorship to a wide audience. The animations needed to be engaging, memorable and demonstrate the positive impact sponsorship can make to the children and communities that Plan International UK work with.

How did we approach the brief?

We created a series of animations with an urgent yet upbeat tone. We told our audience how they could help a child in 15 seconds through a bold and direct narrative. With such a short running length, we had to make every second count. 

The simple, impactful style kept the feel of the animations positive and a clear call to action was used to prompt the viewer to find out more.


We were overjoyed to hear that the ads have done exceptionally well. Plan International UK has been tracking the results from its digital agency since the series went live at the end of February. The platform the ads were served on has had the biggest reach of any other platform this year – with over 348,822 views from the videos already! In just three months, the films have pulled in an 81% view rate, with 69% of those people watching all the way through. They also have a strong click through rate, much higher than Plan UK’s average.
