What was the brief?

Impetus is a UK charity that transforms the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, by ensuring they get the right support to succeed in school, in work and in life. In late 2018, Impetus approached Spectrecom Education, looking to produce a fundraising film to showcase at its Transforming Lives Dinner in at the Natural History Museum in June 2019. Impetus wanted the film to be energetic, positive and feature real young people working with their charity partners.

How did we approach the brief?

Spectrecom came up with a creative approach that put the dreams and ambitions of young people at its heart – showing the audience at the dinner that we’re all doing whatever it takes to help young people achieve their dreams. With the audience’s support today, young people can take on tomorrow.

The final film, ‘Whatever it takes’, was a huge success – it played a major role in helping Impetus raise over £1m on the night. This was its main goal – to fundraise. As a bonus, the film has had almost 5,000 views (304 views on Vimeo, 153 views on Facebook, 1,472 on LinkedIn and 2,576 on Twitter) so far too.
