Title: EIT Raw Materials

Talent: Creative, pre-production, direction, production, post-production

What was the brief?

With an increase in demand for raw materials from growing sectors such the technology industry, it’s more important than ever before to study, research and innovate in the raw materials sector. EIT Raw Materials, an initiative that aims to boost innovation and entrepreneurship in the sector across Europe, wanted to produce a film for their recruitment marketing campaign that would promote these Masters programmes and communicate the key messages that most appeal to students about these courses: job opportunities, course content and societal impact.

How did we approach the brief?

One of the most exciting aspects of the EIT Raw Materials labelled programmes are their international locations, as students have the opportunity to study across a number of European cities throughout the course.

We sent our film crew across Europe, to both Belgium and Germany in order to interview students, academics and industry professionals about these fantastic Masters programmes and the vibrant raw materials sector in Europe.

Delivery

We delivered a series of films, including one main overarching film and three shorter films that each focused on one of the key messages. We knew it was important that we focus on demystifying the sector and also highlight that raw materials is not just about mining and sourcing but also about sustainability, recycling and innovation.

We blended our interviews with footage from industrial sites, universities and creative stock to create a vibrant and engaging series that excites and informs viewers about the raw materials sector.
