Our Approach

UCL’s Centre for Holocaust Education approached Maia Films to produce a film celebrating 10 years of its Beacon Schools Programme. The film needed to act as a case study of one of the Beacon Schools, Manchester Enterprise Academy, showcasing how the school has benefited from the partnership.

Our approach told the story of the school, some of the challenges it faced, the ways in which it had changed through the programme and the benefits it had seen both within the school and in the wider community. The film was produced in a documentary-style, with authentic interviews from students and teachers within the school.
